Stock Market Scandals

The Federal government has started the indictment process against some of the players responsible for the catastrophic losses incurred by American investors during the great tech crash. These people lied and cheated the American public for self gain. They destroyed the life savings of thousands of people that are no longer able to work to regain this loss. What they have perpetrated is far worse than any bank robbery in the history of banking. I have the perfect solution for the apprehension investors feel towards Wall Street. It is simple, quick, cost effective and would deter future scandals. Hang one of the SOB’s in the middle of the floor of the NYSE. After the first one is hung, offer the others a chance at restitution to the American people to be made within 6 months. Following this six month period, hang anybody still in violation. This will lead to one huge court case, appeals galore, and a hanging. Following this initial hanging, I think you will see a gross reduction in this type of activity, resulting in more honesty, less court cases and less cost to enforce.

Boycotts

Every day I read the newspaper it seems I read about some group boycotting a company, city, country etc. I have decided to publish my own list of things I'm boycotting. I recomemd everyone participate in these boycotts until they are addressed. Following each item will be the reason for the boycott.

  • Chicago- Mayor Daley has destroyed Meig's Field. A general aviation airport located on Lake Michigan. He did this with no notice at 1:30AM. Stranding aircraft on the field. This was done with no regard for public opinion. Both Chicago newspapers have published editorials against this action. Mayor Daley earlier in the year agreed to keep the airport open in return for federal money to expand O'Hare. Once he was assurred the money, he seems to have forgotten the part of the agreement dealing with Meig's Field. He claims it is a security threat. However Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge says this is not true. Mayor Daley's actions are an abuse of the power given to him by the people of Chicago and a disregard of their trust. I support a boycott of the City of Chicago, flights that go through Chicago, all companies based in Chicago until the Field is reopened.
